Rockwell Collins offers new features for Falcon 50 Pro Line 21 avionics retrofit
ORLANDO, Fla. (October 19, 2009) - Rockwell Collins has announced five new updates to its Pro Line 21 avionics retrofit package for Dassault Falcon 50 aircraft.
The offering is available immediately from authorized Rockwell Collins dealers. The announcement was made at the National
Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) 62nd Annual Meeting and Convention being held in Orlando, Fla., this week.
The new features, aimed at enhancing situational awareness and meeting future airspace requirements, include:
- The ability to display National Transmission Standards Committee (NTSC) video on the multi-function display, including enhanced
vision system (EVS) camera footage to increase safety during night or poor visibility conditions
- Expanded XM Satellite weather capabilities for Rockwell Collins' Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS) such as: satellite
infrared composite weather, winds aloft, temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) and lightning
- Three-engine indication that monitors engine parameters and informs the pilot of anomalies
- Wall-to-wall attitude director indicator (ADI) to improve attitude awareness
- Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast out (ADS-B OUT) capable transponders
Rockwell Collins also has extended a five-year warranty for the Pro Line 21 shipset.
Due to the increased popularity of Pro Line 21 upgrades, a dedicated Pro Line 21 full-flight simulator is available for training.
More than 40 Falcon 50 aircraft have been retrofitted with Pro Line 21 since the program's introduction.
