Rockwell Collins offers Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 display upgrade for Falcon 2000
ORLANDO, Fla. (October 19, 2009) - Rockwell Collins announced today the availability of a Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 display upgrade for Dassault Falcon 2000
aircraft. The announcement was made at the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) 62nd Annual Meeting and Convention
being held in Orlando, Fla., this week.
"Our Pro Line family of avionics offerings are designed to provide operators with modernization features for their existing
aircraft available on today's newest and most advanced Pro Line 21 flight decks," said Greg Irmen, vice president and general
manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Our Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 display upgrade gives Falcon 2000
operators the capabilities they need to operate more effectively, and the ability to accommodate future airspace requirements."
Rockwell Collins' open architecture approach to avionics allows Pro Line 21 displays to interface with the existing Pro Line
4 avionics package, utilizing existing sensors, radios and autopilots.
Key features of the upgrade include:
- Four larger 8"x10" high resolution Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs)
- Graphical weather
- Electronic charting, with standard instrument departures (SIDs), standard terminal arrival route (STARs), notices to airmen
(NOTAMs), approach charts and airport diagrams
- Enhanced display capability for terrain awareness warning system (TAWS), radar, traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS),
enhanced vision system (EVS)
- Enhanced maps including geographical and political boundaries, airspace restrictions and terrain features
- Wide area augmentation system (WAAS) capability to provision for localizer performance with vertical guidance (LPV) available
in mid 2010.
